A federal appeal court on Friday cleared the path for Lisa Montgomery to be executed before Biden takes office. Her death is scheduled for January 12th. Montgomery was convicted of killing 23 year old Bobby Jo Stinnett in the Missouri town of Skidmore, in December of 2004. Stinnett was 8 months pregnant when Montgomery strangled her, and then cut the baby from her womb with a kitchen knife. It is well known that Joe Biden opposes the death penalty, but has not said if he will or will not continue execution after he takes office.
